Plenary talks of up to 45 minutes in length on a topic that is specific to Paediatric Infectious Diseases topics/breaking news with outstanding speakers. These sessions are live. For more details click here.
Sessions that include 2 senior experts in the field of paediatrics who provide great educational informative value to the participants. The sessions are suggested by the 3 core societies – EAP, ESPNIC and ESPR.
These sessions are pre-recorded.
Sessions that include 2 excellent invited speakers selected by the scientific committee and short oral presenters chosen from the top scoring abstract submitters. These sessions provide great opportunity for top abstract submitters to speak in the same session as the best invited speakers therefore achieving further impact for the abstract presenters chosen.

Selected e-poster presenters will present a powerpoint presentation of a few slides to explain their e-poster. Presenters have 5 minutes to present. These sessions are live.
Sessions highlighting 2 or 3 invited speakers who discuss topics of an interdisciplinary nature that will appeal to all societies and participants attending the Congress.

E-poster presenters will have their e-posters shown in a dedicated gallery inside the virtual platform that is searchable by topic.
Session dedicated to the Bengt Robertson Award lecturer and the Bengt Robertson Award Winner of 2020. The Bengt Robertson Award Lecturer is appointed by ESPR.

A competitive session for each of the 3 core societies where abstract presenters who have been shortlisted from the top scoring young investigator applications will present their abstracts. Judges will choose 1 or 2 finalists from each session to be the winners. The winners will be announced during the closing ceremony.

Out of the box sessions, designed to enrich the knowledge of the participant in fields they perhaps will not normally come across but nevertheless have an interest in and can enrich their general knowledge.
